About us

Trought and About is run by Tom and Essi Troughton.

Tom works as a Physiotherapist and freelance photographer & videographer. Essi is an NHS Doctor and we have a love for all things outdoors!

​

Trought and About was founded in September 2021. The idea started when our friends would repeatedly ask us for routes of where to go for hikes, trail runs or mountain bike rides. We then thought, this could be the start of something!

​

Over time, a passion for outdoor photography, videography and content creation was born.

​

With our background in healthcare, we also want to inspire you to get outdoors to improve your physical, mental and social wellbeing.
